In glamorous 1920s New York City stands the Shelley Opera House. While humans perform operas within the building, on the rooftops and within the opera walls different performances take place.
Unbeknownst to the humans, the cats of the city perform cat operas as part of the Opera Cat Company. But mysterious things happen in the opera house, things that have no earthly explanation…
Some cats believe a Ghost Cat haunts the opera. Stolen items, odd noises, injuries, or other strokes of bad luck are all attributed to the mystifying Ghost Cat.
Roxanne, a member of the cat chorus, has her doubts about the Ghost Cat. While her owner dreams of becoming a prima donna, Roxanne dreams of becoming a great star in the cat singing sphere. Roxanne’s magnificent voice is soon heard among the cats of New York City, and every cat is enraptured by her. Every cat, including the enigmatic Ghost Cat.
Soon the Ghost Cat has Roxanne trapped within his strange world of music and mystery, and Roxanne learns he is no mere theatre fable. Will Roxanne be able to escape his clutches? Or will she be doomed to remain his prisoner forever?
