Some of these are items I found on my own, others were already in the database and I updated them with new pictures and information. Many, however, were brought to my attention by helpful contacts from the area.
Some of these records include:
Fireman and Dogs [Title Unknown]
Markey Memorial Carillon Tower
Mourning Woman [Title Unknown]
Socioenamorphic Anti/Congruity
Wildcat, Napoleon [Title Unknown]
Monuments and memorials are some of the most common sculptural items to find. Often, in rural areas, these are the only types of sculptures to be found and they are frequently located in parks, near courthouses, or in cemeteries.
Some of these records include:
Saluting Soldier [Title Unknown]
Soldiers Memorial Monument, Delta
Sky Pilot (Fulton County War Memorial)
Soldiers and Sailors Monument, Wauseon
Union Soldiers of Fulton County [Title Unknown]
Henry County War Memorial [Title Unknown]
My most enthusiastic assistants for gathering data were present and former employees of the Toledo Metropark's Toledo Botanical Garden. I pieced together as much background info that I could thanks to willing contacts who dug into their memories and files to find information for me and look through my photos to share their stories.
Likewise, my contact at the Toledo Zoo was helpful in passing along news clippings and whatever information they had in their files.
Both of these organizations had little formal recorded information. Thanks to OOS, their sculptural information is now more gathered together and formally documented in one place.
The best way to view these items is to do a search for Location Site. These are records that I either created or updated with photos and information.

The Arts Commission of Toledo cares for a fantastic number of pieces around Toledo and has critical information to go along with them. Many of these items are already in our database but require(d) updates. I have worked on a few and plan to continue to update these works and the many other ones around Toledo that do not belong to The Arts Commission. Refreshing their pictures and metadata, and adding new records will be an ongoing project for me.
These were not my main areas of focus, so there are only a few. Those from Ashland county are items I recorded from another intern's leads.
