This internship was conducted over a three month period with Kent State University's Office of Student Accessibility Services. During my time with the office, I worked directly with both the Assistant Director and Director of the office to assist them in creating and implementing research and assessment tools. These tools corresponded directly with stated goals goals and objectives from the division's strategic plan, and the office's newly created assessment plan.

This major project was constructed, completed, and submitted to both my instructors for grading, and to the office it was created for after feedback was implemented. The assessment plan looks at tools that could be generated to measure the effectiveness and necessity for a specific College Credit Plus advisor for Kent State University's CCP students. The document includes a working Table of Contents, along with several other integrated means of navigation, as the document is over 40 pages in length.
I was one of six out of twenty-four students to ask for and implement feedback from the professor to submit my plan to the office I worked with.

During my two years with AmeriCorps, I kept track of data that showed the overall effectiveness of coaching Lorain County Community College students. Through coaching, and being a resource guide, we found that coaching does have a noticeable impact on students' GPAs, persistence, ability to pass, and qualitative opinion of LCCC. This data was presented to the Vice President, Provost, Director of Financial Services, Director of Career Services, and prospective faculty champions. This case study was a part of my Environmental Conflict Resolution class for my minor in Applied Conflict Management. We looked at an Environmental conflict between the Colorado River Native Nations Alliance, and the Southwestern Low Level Radioactive Commission, Nuclear Waste Management Industry (US Ecology & Competitors), & the Waste Producers, the U.S. Department of Energy. We analyzed the conflict management strategies utilized throughout the hearings and negotiations, and made suggestions as to what could have been improved throughout the hearings.
