Manacy (Mansi) Pai -- Founder & Facilitator
Generations Connect, to me, means many things. It means connecting with someone from a different generation. It is about interacting with strangers and allowing them to astonish us; it is practicing how to be curious and learning how to be a “free” listener. Our group facilitates opportunities for students to be curious, creative, and compassionate as they collaborate with older adults through various activities, from tech support to storytelling.
I am an associate professor of sociology at Kent State University, where my research, teaching, and service focus on aging and health. You can reach me at mpai@kent.edu

Generations Connect to me is an opportunity to bridge the gap between older adults and young adults to provide them with support and interpersonal relationships that they (older adults) may not have as they age, and circumstances change. As a future social worker, I find pride in engaging with people to make their lives easier or more enjoyable.
I am a third-year undergraduate student studying sociology with a concentration in family and life course, minoring in public health and communication studies. After graduation my goal is to go to graduate school to obtain my MSW.
