About Me

My name is Finora Reilly and I am a senior at Kent State University. I will be graduating as a fashion merchandising major, with minors in fashion media and textiles. I have always had a strong interest in fashion but my education has shown me new niches and directions I could take with my degree.

Throughout my time at Kent State, I have been heavily involved with the student media organizations across campus. I am currently a part of the executive boards of A Magazine, Luna Negra and Black Squirrel Radio. These organizations have improved upon my writing and editing skills, as well as exposing me to the world of audio and broadcast. I have also been a board member of the Burr Magazine, Modista Fashion Group and the Fabric Pantry, which have expanded upon my knowledge of fashion and journalist industries.

I have also spent a great deal of time within the fashion and retail spaces. Over this past summer, I was an intern at Kohl's Corporate Headquarters. I worked within the materials management team as a sourcing coordinator. Through this experience, I was exposed to cross functional communication and mill/vendor relationships. I was also able to support the updating and cataloguing of the fabric library used by all private label brands at Kohl's. I currently work as a sales associate and appraiser at the Exchange, where I perform standard retail practices, as well as pricing all forms of used media and video games that come in shipments and customer trades. This requires looking at sales history within the company and utilizes outside resources to price items at the most accurate, reasonable and profitable selling point.
