Kena Shepherds
We need drivers!
Our mission is to provide safe, reliable and timely transportation for both patients and guardians to Shriners Children's.
The Kena Shriners Shepherds maintain a fleet of modern vans, including two handicap-accessible vehicles. Our volunteer drivers and escorts make approximately 100 trips per year to and from the Philadelphia Shriners Hospital.
In addition, the Shepherds arrange for air transportation to and from Shriners Children's burn centers on either commercial flights or specially equipped private medical flights.
Any noble can become a member of the Shepherds. Membership status is maintained by participating in at least one event per year. Although they are not members of the team, Shriner ladies or Master Masons can participate in volunteer activities as hospital van drivers or escorts.
