Part of a school social worker's job is to connect families with community resources. Here are some resources that may be beneficial to your family: Social Services (Theresa Graney) in Falls Village: Theresa can help food gift cards, gas cards, toiletries, and other basic needs.
211-CT By dialing 211 or visiting https://www.211ct.org, you can connect with trained specialists who can guide you to food, housing, and financial resources in your area.
Fishes and Loaves: "Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry operates out of The Pilgrim House at 30 Granite Avenue in North Canaan as a mission of the North Canaan Congregational Church. They are open on Tuesday evenings from 4-6pm-in addition to Thursday afternoons from 12-2. They serve residents of Canaan, Falls Village and Norfolk."
The Corner Food Pantry:Salisbury "Come to the food pantry - We have a simple registration process! All we need is your name, town, family size, and phone number in order to give you food. No paperwork required; everyone is welcome!"
If you would like help connecting with any of these services or other services available in our community, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly. My goal is to make sure every family has the support they need. In addition, food pantries in our area are always looking for donations!!
