We all know the greatest way to learn is by experience. To help students prepare for their 8th grade year in U.S. History and make connections after learning historical content in the 8th grade students have the opportunity to make history come alive.
I'm very excited to offer this opportunity for AVID students to travel to D.C. and Maryland next year. Check out the information below for more details.

Tuesdays and Thursdays - Students are required to fill out a Tutorial Request form (TRF) to work on critical thinking and problem-solving
Students will present their TRF to their small groups. This is where they work on their communication and problem-solving skills.
Students also get to focus on their career interests by bringing in career-specific guest speakers.
