Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators (TASPA)

TASPA is a professional association primarily comprised of Texas public school human resources (HR) administrators and support staff. Whether you are in a small school district or a large district, with or without an HR department, TASPA can assist in providing the tools, strategies, and approaches necessary to support effectively and efficiently your district's HR function with relevant and timely information on the trends in the public school human resources profession.

TASPA is divided into six regional districts by education service center. Members receive timely email alerts on state agency news and legislative updates, newsletters, and special reports on key personnel and human resource administration issues. The membership also provides for a voice on personnel issues before the Texas Legislature, State Board of Education, Texas Education Agency, State Board for Educator Certification, and among the members.

American Association of School Personnel Administrators (AASPA)

AASPA is the only organization that specifically targets and represents school personnel professionals.  If you are a personnel/human resource administrator, personnel support staff, superintendent, principal, or graduate student interested in this field, you will benefit from AASPA membership.  The association provides resources, professional development activities, and networking opportunities to help you do your job efficiently, legally, and effectively. 

Although AASPA’s history dates back to 1938 with the formation of the National Conference of Teacher Examiners, the association assumed its present name in 1959.  AASPA now serves approximately 2,100 members from the United States and worldwide and is headquartered in Overland Park, KS (a suburb of Kansas City, MO).
