PiD was established in 2011. The foundation has experience with projects in the neighbourhood, integration courses, citizenship training, apprenticeships and reintegration-to-work projects. Our activities consist of non-formal educational methods, based on self-directed learning (Bildung).
PiD has been involved in various projects in the field of family education, good parenting, children's rights, combating honour-related violence and domestic violence, and also in projects with parents at school such as integration courses, reading mothers and parental participation. In family education there is a constant tension between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation of migrants, which gives us the opportunity to support the learning of (and understanding for) each other.
DAFNI KEK was established in 1996 and participates in various Calls in favor of lifelong Learning by responding to National and European Funding frameworks. They are in constant cooperation with the broader Community of Educators, as also with the (Life and Job) Counselors by understanding (their) training needs especially working with disadvantaged groups and planning training opportunities locally or in European level for their professional evolution. Intercultural communication and awareness consist the focus of our learning interventions by bringing in contact groups and individuals from the broader community milieu.Â
DAFNI KEK is working with various target groups such as: unemployed young people, young migrants/asylum seekers, young entrepreneurs, migrant women, female entrepreneurs, etc.
