With the globalization of the economy, various issues have emerged. The International Economics Research Center is an organization where researchers from the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Business and Commerce, and the Keio Economic Observatory at Keio University collaborate across departments to study these issues. Utilizing theories and analytical methods from applied economics, including international economics, along with data on countries, industries, and firms, the center engages in identifying problems, formulating hypotheses, determining causal relationships, testing hypotheses, and analyzing results. Through such research, the center aims to develop and propose solutions to the challenges arising from globalization.
