Athena Programme

“KEHS aims to impart the joy of learning and enquiry together with intellectual courage, with the resilience and adaptability requisite for this.”

Welcome to the Athena Programme.

Athena is the KEHS intellectual pursuits programme which encourages independent study and invites students to explore connections between subjects.

During an “Athena Week”, you will be encouraged to pursue independent enquiry in the Arts, Humanities or Sciences, such as reading designated material, listening to podcasts or TED Talks, completing online courses, or visiting a museum or other local site of interest. You are encouraged to capture your learning in the form of a written paper, presentation, artwork or any other medium you feel best communicates the outcome of your studies.

Please note: Key Stage 3 students will have no normal homework during the Athena Week.
