Adopt a Spot!

In 2025, we have two initiatives to support: Our Saturday Stream Snapshot monitoring and our new Salt Watch of 48 sites along the Little Miami River.

You can help by donating to cover the cost of sampling. $100 will cover the whole site, but you can donate $10 to become a co-sponsor. Any amount will help.

The 2025 Saturday Stream Snapshot and Salt Watch program requests donations to operate two key projects:

Saturday Stream Snapshots, citizen scientist volunteers will collect baseline data, including pH, conductivity, turbidity, nitrate-nitrogen, total phosphates, and E. coli bacteria, monthly from March to November.

Public Stream Monitoring for Salt - Today, trained volunteer stream monitors across the country are uncovering pollution problems and urging their local leaders to take action on water quality. The work of these volunteers also creates a critical record of water quality over time, making it possible to identify pollution problems that develop quickly in the future.  Anybody can get trained as a volunteer stream monitor – and anybody can collect valuable data about the health of their local stream with no training at all.

To continue our success and ensure water quality monitoring continues, we need to build our funds with support from donations like yours. This will allow us to achieve long-term sustainable services for our community.
