Hello Parents,
Week 7 of Distant Learning: I miss my students more everyday!
I hope I'm finding each and everyone of you well! Please help your child participate in the lessons and the videos so their learning continues and they do not regress in the skills that they've learned so far. Please send me pictures of what they are completing so that I can use this for their last report card. Thank you to those of you who have sent me pictures of your your child with their completed work. It looks awesome! I have sent several reminds on things you can do if internet connection is an issue or if paper is an issue. Please be mindful that most of kindergarten is a verbal learning environment NOT just busy work. They need to "hear" sounds, read aloud and hear rhyming words. In school, we don't just do worksheets all day everyday. That leads to boredom, behavior issues and loss of interest in school.
A Reminder of how To get started: please look to the top of your screen, go over to Kinder then find Mrs. Cisco and click the little triangle arrow to show the subject tabs. Under each subject tab (phonics, reading, Math, Writing, & SS/Sci) there will be a weekly assignment to complete or video to watch and participate with. Please remember to study their red sight words book and go back to list 1 and go through the book up to their current list that they're working on. This helps greatly with their reading. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me on Remind or email me at: acisco@keeneisd.org
Please tell your little one how much I miss and love them! I wish everyone well. My thoughts and prayers are with each of my beloved students and their families. We will get through this trying time together and come out stronger on the other side!
Love,
Mrs. Cisco
