Adventures in Veterinary Medicine
A career-exploration program for students in middle school, high school, and college interested in pursuing careers in veterinary science. The program offers an introduction to the profession and opportunities to observe in our animal hospitals.
Andy's Summer Playhouse
Students ages 8-18 audition in the spring and are cast in one of the summer's three mainstage shows, a teenage black box show, or a touring show. Located in Wilton Center, NH, the company attracts professional directors, designers and technical staff from all over.

Day camp for students who desire opportunities for creativity, featuring Destination Imagination challenges. Camp locations vary throughout New Hampshire.
Camp Invention
Day camp in sites around NH, including Claremont, Concord, Plymouth and in 2008, Kimball Union Academy. Hands-on activities stressing creativity and invention for children entering grades 1-6. This is a summer program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation.

Camp Merrowvista
Located in Center Tuftonboro, NH, this is for campers age 8-17 who are in good physical condition to experience the rugged outdoors. Focus is on "intentional" camping--building a safe community for campers to learn new skills and make new friends. The camp encourages students to discover and develop their personal best while participating in a diverse community where trust, cooperation and respect are the foundation.

Fells, The--Nature Explorer Activity Kits
The Fells has kits for rent to families as well as schools and camps. You can explore the woods and garden of the Fells with the items contained in each kit--binoculars, magnifying glass, ecology-themed activity booklet (appropriate for students in grades K-4) and pencil packed into a convenient backpack.

Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Summer Programs
A three-week residential program offered at colleges and universities (Mt. Holyoke is the nearest one to NH), suitable for academically talented youth. Arts, crafts, special programs and an intense course in an area of the student's special interest are offered. Criterion: Students must take the Johns Hopkins Youth Talent Search test and qualify for admittance. Deadline for camp registration is at the end of March.
KAT Company
The Kearsarge Arts Theatre Company (KAT) offers a four-week intensive summer program for young people between the ages of 4 and 18 in theatre, dance, music, and the visual arts. Kimball Jenkins Estate Art Summer Camps

Mindflight
A residential program at Plymouth State College for high achieving, highly motivated middle school students. The program lasts 6 days, 5 nights. Financial assistance is available. First come, first served. Students are encouraged to apply in March for the upcoming summer.

Montshire Museum Summer Camps
The Montshire offers a host of summer camp opportunities for children in preschool to those entering 8th grade. The majority of camps are based outdoors, and include wading in ponds to investigate aquatic habitats; exploring the life cycles of insects in meadows; paddling the Connecticut River and noting wildlife, Inventor's Workshop, and Going Green: the Science of Engineering and Sustainability. Summer Institute for the Gifted
Three week residential, co-educational, summer program for academically talented students in grades four through eleven on several college campuses (Amherst College is the nearest one to NH.) SummerMath is for high school girls who want to explore math and computers, get a taste of college life, and build confidence. Students develop problem-solving skills in an active learning environment at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. Daily recreation and weekend trips are included. Tufts Summer Study
Tufts University, Boston, MA, offers six-week intensive summer courses for college-bound juniors, including a writing program, Ethics and Global Leadership, Health Science (with visits to hospitals and medical labs), and eligibility to take regular Tufts undergraduate summer courses.
Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum
Turtle Island Camp offers children, ages 6-14, a chance to experience Native American culture through activities, games, adventure, outdoor exploration, craft projects and more. Eight, thematic, week-long sessions are staffed by museum educators and trained instructors with visits from Native American tradition-bearers.
UConn Mentor Connection
Summer program for talented high school juniors and seniors located at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. Emphasizes real world research--students work with scholars on important problems in the fields of arts and sciences. Length: 19 nights.
