About Mrs. Virta

This will be my 13th year as an educator. I have a CAGS degree in Educational Leadership and have taught grades 1, 2, 4, and 5 as well as 6th grade Social Studies and Science. In my new role, I am thrilled with the opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and collaborate with teachers and administrators in all four elementary schools. As I build relationships with each unique school community, I will better understand individual needs, and together, we can create a vision for the Enrichment Program.

My goal is to provide enrichment opportunities that help students and teachers spark curiosity, challenge assumptions, and engage in deep thinking. I am a staunch advocate for project based learning, especially when these initiatives help foster community ties. I relish the opportunity to learn from others and feel so grateful to be a part of the Kearsarge team!
