The document listed below has some packing suggestions for the DC trip. The weather in Washington DC can be unpredictable. We suggest that students have a few outfits that could work in warm or cold weather such as layers and a warm jacket to leave on the bus for evening events.
There is a lot of walking on this trip so sensible shoes are suggested. Also, we do not return to the lodging at any point during the day. Once we leave in the morning, we do not return to the rooms until late in the evening.
In the past, students have not had a warm sweatshirt with them, their money for souvenir shopping or their phones despite being informed of this by their chaperones each morning. Don't let this happen to you. Be prepared!
