About Me!

About me:

My name is Ethan Ortyl and I just moved up to New Hampshire from Western Mass this August. I'm very excited to teach at Kearsarge as I hope to play an active role in the school's culture however I can.

I graduated from UMass Amherst where I studied sport management at the Isenberg School of Management while earning a minor in art history. During my time at UMass, I spent nearly four years working for the UMass men's basketball team. 

After my undergraduate tenure at UMass, I returned to pursue my M.Ed. Since then, I've taught in Springfield and Palmer, MA. At Pathfinder Tech in Palmer I was the head coach of the varsity boys basketball team and I hope to get involved in coaching in some capacity here at Kearsarge.

A few of my hobbies and passions include college and pro basketball, alternative rock, American folk music, travel, U.S. history, fantasy football, contemporary art, coffee, and meeting new people!
