This doctoral capstone project aimed to educate pediatric primary care providers and parents/guardians about occupational therapy’s distinct value to a pediatric primary care setting. Overall, pediatric primary care providers and parents/guardians reported an increased understanding of and familiarity with occupational therapy’s scope of practice and role in the primary care setting. In addition, pediatric primary care providers and parents/guardians reported interest in the integration of occupational therapy in pediatric primary care settings. The project identified specific pediatric areas of occupation where parents/guardians would like support and their preference for service delivery. Occupational therapy practitioners, educators, and students are urged to add to the body of knowledge and promote the integration of occupational therapy in pediatric primary care through future research, program development, education, and advocacy.
