About

Daniel Ibarra, Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Dan founded KCV Capital in 2004 to advise commercial real estate owners on lending and acquisitions. The letters KCV were the initials of his pets at the time--Kobi (dog), Camondongo (cat) and Verdul (cat).

Prior to founding KCV Capital, he worked in the financial services sector, primarily in capital raising and M&A. After beginning his career as a commercial lender with Wells Fargo Bank, Dan then covered middle market financial institutions as an investment banker with DLJ (now Credit Suisse) and Jefferies.

He founded KCV Loans in 2014 as the country’s first investor-backed online exchange for matching commercial real estate borrowers with institutional balance sheet and conduit lenders. The company closed over $18 million in small balance multifamily and self storage loans.

Dan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Finance (magna cum laude) from Arizona State University. He also holds a California Real Estate Broker license #01789036.

He has a teenaged daughter named Sofia and Uptown Funk is his go-to karaoke song.
