Frequently Asked Questions

Does the library have this specific book I'm looking for?

• Maybe! You can search the library catalog (Destiny)  to find out.

• Click here and log in with your school-issued Google account or go to Classlink > Books and eBooks > Destiny LEHS.

Can I request a book be added to the library?

• Yes! If you would like to see a book or series be added to the LEHS library, you can fill out a Google Form to request it. We will look into it and do our best to order what students want!

Is there a book club I can join?

• Yes! Once a month, the Books & Brunch Novel Club meets to discuss what they've been reading over a light meal.

• If you are interested in joining, stop by the library or email the school librarian, Ms. Lemieux at anne.lemieux@kcsdschools.net.

When I was in elementary school, high schoolers came to my class to read to me. Can I do that now that I'm in high school?

• Yes! This club is called Literacy Express and welcomes new members to join at any time.

• If you are interested, fill out this Google Form!

  • • If you have filled this form out in the past, you do not need to submit it again. You will receive an email to let you know when a field trip is coming up!

• Literacy Express takes about 4 field trips per school year to read to elementary schoolers in the West Wateree area (and beyond!)

Are there any scholarship opportunities funded by the library?

• Yes! Students who have participated in at least four (4) Literacy Express events throughout their high school career can apply for a scholarship.

• Application information will be emailed to eligible students during the spring semester of their senior year.
