Meet Your Teachers
My name is Della Johnson. This is my 29th year in public education. It will be my 7th year at Wateree and my 13th year teaching first grade. I have been married for 34 years and I have 3 children who are all married and 3 amazing grandsons.
I have a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education; Master's in Administration and Supervision; (all but dissertation) Doctoral Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I believe that we should never stop learning and I enjoy learning new things all the time. I can't wait to learn from your child.
We will have an extra adult in our room who will also help guide and direct young minds and her name is Mrs. Howell. This is her second year in our class and all of the students just love her. Her main role is to be available to assist with one of our student's physical needs but she also helps all students in our class. She is married and has 3 children of her own and I don't know what we would do without her.
Robin Storey will be my co-teacher. She will also be working with students to help them achieve their best in our first grade class this year. This is Mrs. Storey's third year at Wateree and our second year together. She has been a Teaching Assistant in the Kershaw County School District for 17 years. She is looking forward to an amazing and productive year with your children.

Mrs. Storey has been married to a wonderful man for 34 years. They have an amazing 22 year old son, 3 rescue dogs, 1 rescue cat and a turtle. Yes, they love animals!
Mrs. Storey enjoys helping children and serves with several volunteer groups:
*Compassion International- She has been a child advocate with Compassion for 7 years. She serves children in developing countries.
*Kershaw County Guardian ad Litem- She has been serving as a Guardian ad Litem for 2 years.
*Missionary- She serves with a mission team in Guatemala each summer. Her primary objective is to coordinate a VBS in the local schools.
Together, we are going to have an amazing year of teaching and learning.

I enjoy reading, technology, photography, music, and teaching. I also enjoy having parents involved in our classroom as much as possible. So get ready to join the fun if you can.
