Are you a current high school sophomore, junior or senior interested in teaching? Register to attend the Future Teachers of North Carolina: Eastern Symposium – a FREE, three-day event that will be hosted on NC State’s campus May 18-20.
Students will stay in residential halls on NC State’s campus for two nights and visit local attractions while also learning more about what it takes to be a teacher and how to become one. Learn more and apply at ced.ncsu.edu/future-teachers.

The program is for rising freshmen to graduating seniors."
The NC Home Builders Association Educational & Charitable Foundation is thrilled to once again offer at least eight $1,000 Workforce Development Regional Scholarships to high school seniors pursuing careers in the residential construction industry! One scholarship will be awarded per NCHBA region to students enrolling in a community college or trade school to earn a degree, diploma, or certificate in fields such as construction management, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or HVAC.

UNCC is hosting a Teaching Fellows Open House for those interested in the program. Teaching Fellows is open to any high school senior planning to enroll in UNC Charlotte to teach (middle grades math or science, high school math or science, elementary education or special education). It is also open to anyone completing their initial teacher licensure (residency candidates) interested in teaching CTE engineering or technology, middle or high school math or science, elementary education, or special education. The student must agree to teach in an NC Public School for 1 year for each year of funding they receive. This scholarship/loan is also open to any teacher assistant who has an associate of arts or science and is interested in the elementary TAs to Teachers program.
If you're passionate about Health Science and STEM research, you can intern locally with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in downtown Kannapolis! Through the Nutrition Research Institute, you'll gain hands-on experience by supporting daily lab and research operations, while also learning about the protocols involved in working with human subjects in research studies.

The WinSPIRE program is dedicated to fostering diversity in future STEM researchers. The program promotes inclusivity in STEM by inviting local high school students to actively participate in scientific research with mentors at UNC - Chapel Hill. WinSPIRE students gain valuable experience that can build confidence in their ability to pursue a STEM degree or career in the future.
Key Features of the WinSPIRE Program:
June 16th - July 25th (six-weeks)
A paid ($1800) in-person program at UNC-Chapel Hill
