English Open Day provides a platform for KCIS students to show what they’ve learned over the past months. Each grade level presents unique topics related to their projects or achieve writing. But this event is more than just a display of their work—it’s an opportunity for students to develop skills, experience personal growth, and find inspiration for the future.
One of the Grade 3 topics, "Dream Shop," allows students to present their business ideas for selling their favorite things. “When students grow up, they might be inspired to open a real shop,” said Ms. Joyce. Meanwhile, Grade 5 students work on persuasive skills by encouraging others to join their clubs. “I feel like my skills will reach another level since I can really talk to the public,” shared a Grade 5 student.
We appreciate our school for providing this opportunity to extend our writing and projects into real-world scenarios, helping us connect with a live audience.

Cheers echoed from the gym as the school basketball team celebrated a fourth-place finish in the New Taipei City Basketball Championship. Competing against 30 to 40 other schools, they worked hard to achieve this. Darren from Class 506 said, “We were trying to improve our positioning and defense to win the game.” The team practiced hard every Monday and Wednesday.
Kuan from Class 603 shared, "Before the game, I was a bit nervous, but after the first one, I was used to the league's play style." He added, "When we were losing, we tried to score quickly to catch up."
Their main goal was to always try their best, never give up, and use all their skills, no matter if they win or lose. Their hard work not only made the school proud but also inspired future Kang Chiao teams. Thanks to all the players, coaches, and cheerleaders for this outstanding accomplishment.
