Words can help people in need! This November, Kang Chiao students stood on the streets once again, using persuasive words for fundraising. There, they clearly explained the donations' purpose to support children with disabilities through Happyworks. “People were kind and generous! They decided to help as soon as we explained our goal,” one of the G5 students said.
Each participant went the extra mile by making their own donation boxes, posters, and props. Some even performed to draw people’s attention. “The girl on my team played the oboe. The plaza was filled with a lovely melody,” said a G4 student. “A boy from my class even dressed up in a dinosaur costume!” All they did was for one common goal—helping children in need.
Mr. Huang, the coordinator from DSA, said, “Use your love and words to offer support to those facing hardships.” Kang Chiao students did so wholeheartedly through their actions!

A big congratulations to the Kang Chiao String Orchestra for winning second place in the Municipal Music Contest this November! This shows how much effort they put into getting ready for the competition! The orchestra spent months practicing. Even though they are from different classes, with different schedules, they still gather three days a week and sometimes even on weekends, to ensure they could deliver their best performance on stage. Their hard work paid off as their beautiful melody captivated the audience.
August from 601, one of the orchestra members, shared his thoughts: “It doesn’t matter that we didn’t win first place. What really matters is the joy I felt while working with my team.” The Kang Chiao Orchestra will continue to hone their skills, and we are confident they will achieve even greater success in future competitions.
