Sixth graders from KCIS kicked off their final semester with a memorable three-day graduation trip to Hualien. High spirits filled the air as students boarded the train from Taipei Station, eager for adventure.
The favorite part for most of the students was a lively gathering in the ballroom on the second evening, where music, dance, song, and performances filled the air for two joyful hours. To cap off the activities, students enjoyed a traditional Taiwanese treat of soy milk and meat buns. Patty Tsuei from 604 said, "The atmosphere was lively, and everyone was so excited. I enjoyed the night party very much." Serena Peng from 602 said, "Everyone was screaming and shouting, all hyped up." These are two students who enjoyed the party very much. As the curtain closed on the trip, students departed Hualien on a train from Xingchen Station, cherishing the final moments with their elementary school friends.

The Grade 5 students had a great experience meeting up with their pen pals at Kong Hwa School in Singapore. Besides boosting friendships, it's about exchanging different mindsets and learning the significance of diverse cultures to connect with the world. Mr. Otter, a teacher on the trip, said, "Visiting another country broadens students' horizons as we learn from one another."
Most of the students felt the hospitality from their Singaporean partners. "My partner showed me around their campus with great passion," said Lyon from 502. "After I figured out how to play the board game provided by the local teacher, I managed to teach my team in an understandable way," said Asher, a student from 507. "I was excited about making this communication work and collaborating with others." In Singapore, the students also had an opportunity to visit the Merlion and Night Safari, where they immersed themselves in the rich cultural setting of the place.
