Wind Energy

The final KCFS project for our grade 6 students this year is Airpower. In this project, the students are making a wind turbine that will light up an LED.

Electricity comes from power stations. The electricity then travels to our homes along power cables. The most common way to make electricity is by burning coal or using nuclear energy. These methods harm the environment. Another way to make electricity is to use wind or water. Wind and water are called "green energy" because they do not harm the planet.

Find your way through the maze below as the electricity winds its way from the wind farm to your home. Take your completed work to your KCFS teacher and get a stamped note that you can take to the ID Office for a reward.
