Which teacher loves triathlons and has done around 10 of them? It is Mr. Molloy, a British teacher who loves both triathlons and soccer. Why does he like this tough race? The answer lies with his friends. He has many friends at Kang Chiao who are triathletes and they made him feel like trying it. It turns out that he loved it! Since he came to KCIS, he’s been going to the swimming pool after work frequently for triathlon preparation. His training is very strict, and it includes making a timetable of what he will do to practice his triathlon skills each week. He does fast and short runs as well as slow runs. He does the same thing for the other two sports.
When he is competing in the triathlons, he usually focuses on what his goal is and tries to divide the race into many different sections. After the race, he just feels relieved that he doesn’t have to run anymore. Do you have any questions for him, like what you might need for your first triathlon? Just visit E611 for more information!

Have you ever wondered what the students are doing in the swimming pool? Are they playing in the water? No! They are practicing for the water sports competition! It’s an activity that happens at Kang Chiao biannually. The swimming competition for middle graders was on the 15th of October, and it was on the 16th for the higher grades. There are many swimming styles for them to choose from and they got points for their classes for participating!
“Any students are welcome to sign up for this competition as long as they have enthusiasm in water activities,” one of the KCIS swimming coaches, Mr. Sea Urchin said. “I’ll train them during their regular swimming classes, so it won’t affect their routine schedules.” It's not about the medals. It’s all about the honor! Splash it on!
