Mareon Lewis will be entering his 16th year as a football / T&F coach. Coach Lewis has enjoyed tremendous success from his previous coaching assignments: Madison HS / Beaumont Ozen, Dickinson and Wheatley High School, having been the Head Boys or Girls at each stop for 15 years.
While at Wheatley Lewis quickly turned Girls track program around to earn four straight District Championships and 2013 4A Regional and UIL State Team Championship which includes many athletes earning individual state medals during his 6 years.
During one year at Beaumont Ozen as the Head Boys Coach, he improved the team from two regional qualifiers the previous year to 12 athletes making the finals at the 2015 5A Regional III Championship in 5 different events.
In his four years as girls head coach, Dickinson High School was represented at the 6A UIL State Track and Field meet each year with one state champions and many athletes finishing 2nd or 3rd in their events. Dickinson was also 2017 24/23 6A Area Champs.
Coach Lewis graduated from Florida Institute of Technology in 2010 with a Masters Degree in Information Technology after competing in football and track at Texas A&M Kingsville.
Lewis comes to Mayde Creek High School with his wife Yulanda, and four kids: Desstin, Myles, Brandon and Jayden.

Joseph Brillon - men's head boys coach cross-country /assistant track & field

Coach Joseph Brillon will be entering his 38th year in coaching. As the assistant track and field coach, he will be working with coach Lewis and coach Siemers along with an experienced staff to develop athletes that exhibit leadership qualities and train to compete at the state level.
Graduating from Lamar University with a degree BS in Exercise Science and teaching field Biology, coach Brillon competed in cross-country and track while at Lamar University. His previous head coaching high school assignments include: Neaderland HS, McCullough HS, Mayde Creek HS (99-09), Stratford HS, Northbrook HS.
Served in the US Navy.
Married to Josie Loy Brillon with five sons (Joseph, Isaiah, Andrew, Josh, Matt)
