In this video I explain how to use some of the formatting tools that I used while explaining how to use them. It is a vicious cycle, but it will help you create more attractive and interactive pages.
You can drag the pre-made layout options onto the page to help you arrange your information in a pleasing way. Below, I used the three pictures with text layout.
Collapsible text gives you a place for a permanently-appearing heading with a spot for text that will appear or disappear as users click the arrow.
The table of contents will automatically take everything on the page that is labeled as a heading in the text formatting options and create links to jump down the page.
For the image carousel you drop in or select the images you want and click insert and it organizes them in an interactive way.
Across the top of the window, you have buttons:
The undo and redo buttons do what you would think.
The next button allows you to preview what users will see when they look at your page. You can see how it will look on a computer, tablet, and phone.
The link tab gives you a webpage link to your page so that you can send it to people. And teachers. Teachers are people, too.
The collaborator button allows more than one person to work on the page. Do not add people here if you only want them to view the page. This is only for teammates helping to build the page.
The gear and three dots give you options you can adjust to your liking.
The publish button is how you make your changes show on the live page. No one will she changes you make unless you publish again after you change stuff. (I regularly add stuff to my website and forget to publish it.)
