Legal Name and NCREC License Number
Please verify that you have registered using your full legal name, as it appears on your driver's license or passport, as well as your NCREC license number to ensure the accuracy of your certificates of completion upon passing your final exam(s).
If you did not register using your full legal name, or the license number is incorrect, please contact Customer Support at 800.660.8105 to update your information PRIOR to taking your final exams and applying for your state exam.
If the name on your Kaplan certificate of completion and the license number does not match your legal identification sent to the NCREC, the NCREC may not ensure proper credit.
Accessing the Learning Management System (LMS)
You will access your study program through your LMS, which houses all of your online course assets. Depending on the package purchased, this is where you will access live online classes and OnDemand videos, locate course material, take final exams, and complete exam preparation activities. When accessing the LMS for the first time, you will be required to set up your account password. Please refer to the Online Access email you were sent upon enrollment for the link to set up your account.
If you have any questions, please reach out to us immediately. We are only an email or phone call away.
Cameras: The NCREC requires that students must have their cameras on at all times during classes. Please make sure your camera is working before you begin your class.
Completion time: All students will have six months to complete their course from the date of purchase. Per North Carolina Real Estate Commission Rule 58H .0207(b), you must complete your course, including passing the proctored end-of-course exam, within 180 days of enrollment.
Course access extensions cannot be granted.
Proctoring sessions: Please note that proctoring sessions fill up in advance. Please plan accordingly, complete your coursework and schedule your proctoring session at least two weeks in advance of your desired proctoring session date.
The book for Post Licensing is the most current edition of the Real Estate Manual.
This is available for online subscription or a physical book. Select Order the NCREC Manual
The same manual will be used for all three Post courses. You may purchase either an online subscription or a physical book.

A licensee who is initially licensed as a provisional broker is required to complete the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's Post-Licensing Education Program within the first 18 months of their licensure.
This program consists of three individual classes which are all 30 hours in length, including a final examination. Once satisfactory completion of the courses has been made, a licensee will no longer have the "provisional" status on their license.
If all three 30-hour courses have not been completed by the 18th month after the date of licensure, the licensee will go to Inactive status.
There is no prerequisite for post-licensing courses.
All post-licensing students must present their license card or documentation of their license number from the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.
The courses may be taken in any order, and commencement of the courses may happen immediately after initial licensure as a provisional broker.
This course will be taught live online via Zoom meeting. Students will be required to have a stable high-speed internet connection, a device capable of accessing the webinar, and a webcam/microphone for student interaction.
State regulations require that you take a proctored final exam. Once you have completed all your coursework, you may schedule your final exam with our qualified virtual proctors. Please note that proctoring sessions fill up in advance. Please plan accordingly and complete your coursework and schedule your proctoring session at least two weeks in advance of your desired proctoring session date.
The exam must be proctored by Kaplan. Virtual Classroom Proctoring is available. Per state regulations, all students seeking North Carolina Real Estate Licensing Education credit must have a video camera (webcam), and the camera must be enabled for the entire duration of the exam. You are allowed two attempts to pass the exam. The same proctoring process must be followed for each exam attempt.

Can I change the package I purchased?
If you don't feel like this is the right package for you, there is an option to upgrade to another package as long as you are still within your 6 month enrollment period by contacting Customer Support at 800.660.8105.
Are extensions available?
No. The NCREC only allows you to have six months to complete your course. If you can not complete it within six months, you will need to start over.
How much time can I miss in the Live Online class?
The NCREC states that you can not miss more than 10%. If so, you can not sit for the exam and there is no opportunity for make-up time.
What if I don't pass my course on the two exam attempts given?
If you do not pass your course on either the initial exam or the retake and are still within your six-month enrollment period, you are able to retake the course. Please contact Customer Support at 800.660.8105 or visit www.kapre.com to chat with CS and reenroll.
