The last step to completing this course is to take your final exam located in your LMS account. Here are some important things to remember.
COMPLETE YOUR PROCTORED EXAM
Georgia Real Estate Commission regulations require a proctored final exam for your course(s). Once you have successfully met the course completion requirements, on your Dashboard you will see the course icon now shows a green check mark. You will see the Proctored Exam icon is accessible. You have three options to complete your final exam.
You may use a Disinterested Third Party to proctor your final exam. A proctor must be a disinterested third party with no conflict of interest who verifies a student's identity and processes an affidavit testifying that the student received no outside assistance with the course or examination. This generally is administered to include individuals at least 18 years old who are neither members of the student's family nor individuals who have a financial interest in the student's success on the exam. Coworkers do not qualify if they supervise or report to the student.
You may find a proctor using the NCTA website. You have the option to select a location and schedule a time to take your exam with a proctor that accepts online proctoring from the following list of locations on the NCTA website. Click the state of Georgia on the map to see the locations.
If you are unable to secure a disinterested third party to proctor your final exam, Kaplan offers Virtual Classroom Proctoring for a fee. The fee is $29 per proctoring session. You are only allowed one attempt per session.
VIRTUAL CLASSROOM PROCTORING SESSIONS
1) Click here to enroll yourself in a proctoring session in Kaplan's virtual classroom. You will receive a class confirmation email and an online access email. You will be asked to enter the virtual classroom via the LMS at least five minutes before your session is scheduled to begin. Late-arriving students may be subject to a cancellation/rescheduling fee.
2) You must have a microphone, speakers, or a headset, and a video camera (webcam) is required. The proctor must be able to see and hear you at all times (and vice versa).
3) You will be asked to scan your camera around your testing area so the proctor can confirm that you do not have any available exam aids (open books, additional monitors, etc.).
4) You will be asked to share your screen so the proctor can confirm that you do not have additional browser tabs open that might aid in your exam.
5) You must have a state-issued identification card (you will be asked to hold it up to your camera and show it to the proctor at the time of the exam so the proctor can confirm your identity).
6) You must use a computer or a laptop (no phones or tablets) and a reliable internet connection (a hard-wired connection - rather than Wi-Fi -is recommended to ensure the best possible connectivity).
7) You should use Google Chrome as your internet browser.
8) Please click here to review the technical specifications and to run a quick, 30-second system test to verify your connection and system configurations. If you have technical difficulties, please call our Technical Support Team at (800) 636-9517.
9) You are allowed two exam attempts. However, each attempt must be proctored. If you are unsuccessful on your first exam attempt, you must enroll in another VCP session for your subsequent exam attempt.
10) After passing the exam, both you and the proctor must read the affirmation statements and check the “I affirm” checkboxes to complete the exam attempt.
11) You then must go back to the Dashboard and click the “Affidavit” icon. You must accept your affidavit to ensure your course is considered complete and so we can process and release your completion certificate.
12) Your proctor should give you permission to exit the virtual classroom. Closing the virtual classroom browser window/tab will exit you from the virtual classroom.
Both the student and proctor will be required to complete information on the proctor form before the exam becomes accessible.
You have 2 attempts at the Final Exam. The exam is designed to be taken in one sitting; 20 minutes of inactivity will cause the exam to be graded and will be considered a valid attempt. A score of 75% is considered passing. If you fail the exam, you must make the same proctoring arrangements to retake your exam. If you do not receive a passing score after two attempts, you will need to repeat the course prior to attempting the exam again.
ACCEPT YOUR AFFIDAVIT
Once you have completed your course material and final exam, you are required to accept an electronic affidavit as part of the completion of this course stating you have completed each assigned module of instruction. You will need to complete this step before your course is considered complete.
ACCESS YOUR COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE
Once you complete all course content, accept your affidavit, and pass your print-proctored exam, you may access your completion certificate by clicking the “View Certificate” link on the Education page.
WE WILL REPORT YOUR COMPLETION TO PSI/AMP
Again, in order to prevent a delay, remember to submit the additional reporting information explained above.
SCHEDULE YOUR STATE EXAM WITH PSI/AMP
Once we have reported your completion, you can contact AMP directly to schedule your licensing examination. You may access PSI/AMP, here for further information. We recommend you download the Candidate Information Handbook for detailed instructions.
