Any person who engages in the sale of real estate sales must have a license.
Your certificate is valid for 6 months. Completions are reported electronically to Pearson Vue - Please allow 3 Days to Report.
Agents who desire reciprocity in Alabama must complete a 6-hour course on Alabama real estate law, successfully pass the Alabama section of the state licensing examination, and file an application with the Alabama Real Estate Commission.
$25 charge for conducting a criminal records search
$30 fee for research and education

The Alabama Real Estate Commission requires proof of the successful completion of high school or the equivalent in order to attain a real estate license in Alabama. This includes a high school diploma or GED.
You will have 3.5 hours to complete both sides of the exam. 2.5 hours for the general portion and 1 hour for the state portion.
There are 140 total questions including the pretest items.
You must score at least a 70 in order pass the exam.
Each real estate licensee must complete 30 hours of real estate Post-Licensing approved by the Alabama Real Estate Commission within the first six months of licensure for active licensees and within one year for inactive licensees.
