English
Vowels or Consonants?
Sorting and grouping things together is an important cognitive skill. Grouping objects by colour, size or shape is a developmental milestone for thinking and problem solving. Sorting and matching things helps learners to develop visual perceptual skills & memory skills. It teaches learners to notice similarities and differences, learn to categorise, and develops early literacy and numeracy skills. Here in this session learners sort out the letters from the English alphabet series as consonants & vowels.
Math
Peg me up.....
The activity of finding missing counting numbers helps our learners to develop mental skills and enhance their fine motor practice of learning. Missing number exercises help learners practice a wide range of skills, including number formation, sequencing, rote counting, and basic addition. Here in this session, our learners were encouraged to peg the missing numbers on the ice cream sticks as they counted them from 1 to 10.

My cutaneous sense
The blindfolding games help our learners to explore the sense of sight while learning about the five senses. These activities help children understand their sense of sight, why is it important, and what it's like without seeing. Being blindfolded means that they have to use their other senses to discover the world around them. Blindfold games are also very important for balance and spatial awareness. Here in this session, our learners were engaged in the sensory activity. Our learners explored a few different objects like torch, glue, crayons, sketch pens, wool, paintbrush, tweezer, etc. with their eyes closed & then they had to draw the same object that felt on the worksheet without looking at it. Later they saw the same objects & drew them again. Learners brimming with laughter as they saw the real objects.
STREAM
Habitat
Learning STREAM is so beneficial for kids. It teaches them essential life skills that will help them to be successful in school and in life. Animals live all over the world, but only certain animals live in certain habitats! A habitat is a type of natural environment that a certain species lives in, this is why we can find different types of animals in different parts of the world. K1 learners learned about different types of habitats. Learners were engaged in a sorting activity and classified the different animals into their respective habitats.
