English
I am a sound detector.
Group reading provides learners a social opportunity to talk about reading in an enjoyable and relaxed manner. Shared reading is linked to enhanced relaxation, calmness, concentration, quality of life, confidence and self-esteem, as well as feelings of shared community and common purpose. Here our learners were engaged in the group reading session, wherein their purpose was to detect words with different letters and say the sound aloud.
Math
In or Out?
Opposites teach learners how to compare and describe the world around them. Learning opposites can help children improve their vocabulary, especially descriptive words. Learning opposites also helps them understand their environment and the physical boundaries of objects. Here our learners were engrossed in learning the opposite words in & out through the gross motor skills activity. Learners engaged in a fun game where they had to hear the call of the teacher and throw the coin in the box made on the floor when the teacher said "in". When the teacher called "out" they had to throw the coin out of the box. This activity also enhanced our learners' listening skills and encouraged them to quickly react or respond.
Music
Play your beat!
Music ignites all areas of child development and skills. It helps the body and mind work together. In this session, there were 3 cards showing different time signatures face down on the table, where each learner had to pick any one of the cards and demonstrate playing the beat using a percussion instrument according to the time signature shown there. Some of the learners also played the beats in such a way that the other learners had to guess it. Learners enjoyed participating in this activity, it also made them curious as to what beat would be played next.
Kanakia Kids Children's Council

It emphasizes a sense of community amongst children and teaches skills of commitment & good citizenship. Being involved in the school council can help young learners to understand the world from their perspective. During their Energy and Power Ministry session, our learners played the role of energy detectives. Wherein the learners were encouraged to tag the items around in the school that consume energy & power. Learners had great fun while detecting the things in the school that consume energy & power.
