Student Details

Students who reside in Allegan County, Berrien County, Calhoun County, Kalamazoo County, or Van Buren County (as seen above) are eligible to compete in this fair. Students who do not live in an area of Michigan with an ISEF-affiliated fair can contact the fair director, Rebecca Joyce (rebecca.joyce@kamsc.org), about eligibility.

Form Details

For students wanting to enter SMSEF, the project must be approved by an adult sponsor which can be a teacher, mentor or a parent (Adult Sponosor Form 1; Check forms tab for more details)

Exhibition Category (Displays not judged for competition)

Students can enter a project at SMSEF in the exhibition category which will not be judged for ISEF qualification. These projects do not have to abide by all ISEF rules, such as the team limit of 3 students. This allows students to learn about the science fair process, practice presenting, and network with fellow presenters.
