Mitos is a contemporary take on mythical creatures, loosely based on those from the myths and legends of the various ethnic groups in Indonesia. In today's globalised era where people are more educated and life fast-paced, these mythical creatures are often interpreted as fantasy or delusion. As such, their tales are easily neglected in spite of their contribution to the majesty of Indonesian culture.

Through this abstract illustrative collage diptych, I hope to revive that spark of interest in the Malay community (especially those with Indonesian roots) to rediscover their heritage, and take pride in their origins and the culture that accompanies it.
