Room 1 students have chosen The BFG as our third novel. We started reading this during the last few weeks of Term 3. I know with the excitmenet of watching thisd movie also, the book so far has been so funny to read and listen to.

With only 5 weeks to go of Term 3, we decided to start our next class novel. Sticking to our favourite author Roald Dahl, we started reading 'The Twits'. This book was funny and very enjoyable to read!

Although it was a lot shorter, so we started and finished this novel within a couple of weeks!.

Room 1 have become a cool class of Readers thats for sure!

Turns out we had already started watching this movie in Term 2 at the end of term so it was cool to finally finish this movie and watch all the parts we read in the novel.

In Term 3 Room 1 started reading a class novel. It was awesome to follow along with the story and all our tamariki loved listening to the story. 

We loved....

• the witches accent

• turning the kids into mice

• the grandma helping the mice

In week 5 we finished reading our novel so as a treat we watched the movie on a wet and rainy Firday.
