WIDA Proficiency levels move from 1.0 to 6.0, with 1.0 indicating that the learner is at the Entering level in English Language Acquisition. Each learner’s starting level on the continuum is determined on a case-by-case basis, according to the WIDA English Language Proficiency Assessment and ELL certified staff recommendation.
