About Us

Community Resource Services (CRS)  is a tax-exempt not-for-profit, founded in 2000 that provides a food pantry and other services for the entire Lunenburg County, Nottoway County, and other neighboring counties.

Our goal is to alleviate hunger and provide food for distribution through a network of service agencies and programs. Our services improve the ability of families to care for children, and the elderly to achieve self-sufficiency goals.  The services we provide are a small investment compared to the cost of ignoring the problem of hunger and support services and its influence on several health and crime issues. 

Our goal is to ensure that even though we are rural and living in a “food desert", we want to offer our clients the same quality of life enjoyed by those in urban areas.

We are open every Thursday from 9:00–12:00. We open on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 2:00–4:30.
