Randolph Eastern School Corporation works everyday to live out their mission statement of "Reaching, Education, and Supporting our Community" by making the educational experiences they provide their students move beyond the walls of the school and blend directly into the community of Union City, Indiana. Recognizing the need to bring high speed internet access to the area, Randolph Eastern sought out funding last year, in the midst of a global pandemic and contracted with local businesses to build a broad band tower to reach, not only the students in the area, but the rest of the community as well. With the renovation work on the Vision Corner site in downtown Union City, Randolph Eastern is establishing an educational hub in the center of town. This building will not only house the Apache Business class, including their screen printing business, but will also be the home of their KISS TV media class. Additionally, they are working to install a functional co-working studio on site as well, designed to be a collaborative work space for young professionals, all designed to retain the students moving on from the K-12 setting into the workforce and to draw new talent to the community.
Last year, Randolph Eastern was identified as one of 22 districts in the State of Indiana as earning the PLTW Distinction for their amazing implementation of the Project Lead the Way courses which provide their students strong, STEM based learning opportunities.
