During our presentation for the judges we explained the main parts of each element of our design process. Each person presented the slides that went along with the portion of the project that they took 'point' on in order to give the most comprehensive explanation of each element. At the end we talked about what improvements or extensions we would make if we had more time and resources, this also ended up being what the majority of our judges questions were about. Our judges asked questions regarding the price of upgrading the sensor as well as what customer group our final product would be marketed to.
At the trade show we received many of the same questions regarding the price of our current design and designs including more complex sensors. We also received a couple questions about the coding and electrical work we did to make our Hydro-Signal functional. Overall, the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, many people pointing out how applicable our idea is after the hurricane with increased water safety concerns.
