Let us help you build a social & emotional toolkit. The SEAD team helps school address barriers to equity so that students and families can access learning and achievement. We support schools by working collaboratively with school staff, families, and communities. Our aim is to help build a collective mindset for SEAD growth, enhance family engagement practices, nurture high quality relationship within schools, collaborate with community partners, and develop consistent social and emotional learning practices.
What Can The SEAD Team Help With?
- Consult with teachers on student behaviors and academic needs to increase access to curriculum and learning.
- Make connections between community resources and schools.
- Build capacity of the staff through one-on-one coaching and strengthening student support teams.
- Observe and assist with staff and parent meeting for process.
- Consult with administration and staff on parent and community engagement and partnerships, inclusivity, and cultural considerations.
- Consult on effective responses to behaviors and absenteeism.
- Lead professional development for staff in the areas of culturally responsive teaching, safe brain, UDL, and family engagement.
- Provide information and event support to increase family engagement, awareness, and access.
