AHJS Strings Clubs

IT’S NO ORDINARY SOCIETY.

It’s the only national honor society for student musicians in the country.

.

This is the AHJS Strings Service Club. Members meet the first Thursday of the month during Flex to assign service projects for the month. Members will elect officers for this club. Members keep track of their Strings service hours with teacher signature for recognition at the end of the year.

Music Mentors are students that volunteer 15- 30 minutes a week to help other students in Strings with difficult material or difficult orchestra tasks. There are no regular meetings. Students in this club will sign up for hours before school (8:00-8:30 a.m.) or after school (4:00-4:30 p.m) once a week only. Students that need help can reference the sign-up chart to know when the mentors will be there for the extra help needed. Music Mentors will keep track of their Strings service hours with teacher signature for recognition at the end of the year.
