Screencastify is an incredible tool for recording from your webcam and screen. In addition to recording, you also have the ability to make edits to your videos. Although these are simple editing tools, you can also splice previously recorded videos to your screencasts. You can use the built in mics on a laptop or chromebook to pick up your audio. For recording from your desktop, you will need a lavalier mic (and a webcam if you want to have your pic in the video). There are many options out there for increasing the quality of your sound with a lavalier mic or headset but that would be at an extra cost. One I personally use is this mic.
If you would like to know more about how to use Screencastify, I have included links to tutorials and help guides below. This includes how to install the extension for Screencastify.
