Family Event/Site Tour: Come take a look at all the great things happening. This event will offer an overview of the program, brief guided tour of potential departments, and of course food! Mark your calendar!! Application deadline for the upcoming academic school year is on March 1 for upcoming academic year. (example: Deadline of March 1, 2026 will be for applicants interested in Project SEARCH for 2026-2027 academic year).
Interview: The week before Skills Day, applicants will participate in a short interview, which is approximately 30-minutes. This gives the applicants an opportunity to share their strengths, why they would be a good candidate for the Project SEARCH program, and ask any questions. This years interviews will be scheduled during March 16-29, 2025.
Skills Day: Selected applicants will be invited and required to participate in the Skills Day, which is approximately a 2 hour hands-on experience. The young adults are able to meet the team and try a variety of tasks associated with Project SEARCH at Sanford. Skills day will be held on March 24, 2026 between 9am-3:30pm at Sanford USD Medical Center.
Candidate selection will occur after Skills Day has been completed. Selection letters will be sent out after decisions have been made. The program may have up to 8 participants per academic year. IEP teams will meet to finalize transition programming and services after letters are received for the upcoming academic year.
