Our Mission
Theodore Roosevelt's "Point-to-Point" hikes
Our "point-to-point" team theme originates from Theodore Roosevelt's hike concept which involves hiking from one point to another, until you eventually reach your destination, going "over or through" obstacles instead of around them. This adventurous style of hiking meant fording streams, climbing rocks, and navigating difficult terrain without deviating from a direct path or goal. It emphasized resilience, perseverance, and challenges over a leisurely stroll on a paved trail.
Our mission in Roosevelt Volleyball is to encourage our athletes to relentlessly pursue their goals. We teach our athletes to focus on one point at a time and to keep their focus on what they can control during each practice, game or individual rep until we reach our desired goal.
"Do what you can, with what you’ve got, where you are."
"Believe you can and you’re halfway there."
