Goals:
You will be exposed to things that have happened in recent world history, and you will draw connections to things that are happening in the world today. It's important learn about the experiences of people throughout the world, both from the past and the present. This helps us to better understand why the world is the way it is and how we can move forward with a clearer understanding of others, especially those who have had different experiences than ourselves.
You will practice how to absorb and organize information that you've read, viewed, or heard about. These are critical skills that you will need in the future for school, work, and life in general.
You will effectively explain, both orally and in writing, what you have learned. The ability to effectively communicate information to others is another essential skill that extends beyond school.
