Algebra

Course Description

Placement is based on NWEA scores, Smarter Balance scores, Math grades, Algebra readiness exam, and Seventh grade teacher recommendations.  Algebra I is a one-year course that will study mathematical operations with directed numbers and problem solving with linear equations and inequalities.  This course also explores the use of linear algebra, systems, and quadratics to model and solve real world problems as well as introduce basic probability and statistic concepts.   This course also explores the use of the laws of exponents and operations with rational and irrational values.  This course is the same as the high school course and upon satisfactory completion the Algebra I credit will be placed on their high school transcript.
