Course Description
In this course, students will explore the fundamental concepts of physical science, focusing on the principles of matter, energy, motion, and forces. Through hands-on experiments, interactive activities, and collaborative projects, students will develop a strong understanding of the scientific method and how it applies to real-world phenomena. Topics include the structure and properties of matter, energy transformations, Newton's laws of motion, and basic concepts of electricity and magnetism. This course encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry, preparing students for more advanced studies in science.
Grading Scale
A = 93-100 B= 86-92 C= 78-85 D= 70-77 U= 69 and below
This class is not weighted, and the score is determined on how many points they earn in the quarter. Their warm up for example is only worth five points, where a test might be worth 30 or 40 points. Daily assignments will generally be worth 10 points each.
